Description

When changing the oil filter, it is important that the oil cooler gasket is also in good condition. Common symptoms of a failing gasket include the Engine Oil Light coming on, oil dripping from the filter, and lower than normal oil pressure. BMW changed the original gasket (OE# 11427525335) to address the leaks occurring due to a design flaw in the housing. This gasket supercedes Ajusa # 01263400 / OE# 11427525335. The new gaskets (OE# 11428637820) have centering tabs which help seal and prevent leaks.
